the fall 2009 nota is like a month away,

find oneself hungry enough to move through the house at night

find oneself moving ones hands over the texture of wallpaper

find oneself searching for light switches that were never there

find oneself saying, what the fuck, too loud and like a song

find oneself lost in a pitch black forest

find oneself listening to the flu behind ones ears

find oneself finding the computer and its internet literature

find oneself looking at the computer screen waiting for something to happen that might happen but probably won’t

find oneself lost in a .gif of black waves at night

find oneself watching a .gif of black waves at night for such a long time that something changes

find oneself listening to the pink blood in ones ears

find oneself breathing while thinking about breathing

thank you to everyone who came and voted on this semester’s art submissions. and of course, a big thanks to everyone who submitted. this semester’s turnout was really impressive, both in numbers and in quality of work. you should really be looking forward to the upcoming issue because it is going to look gooood.

dont forget that lit submissions are due tomorrow at 5:00pm!

both art and literary submissions are fast approaching. art submissions will be held in HFA 301 at 8pm on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1ST. we will start accepting submissions at 6pm and the voting will commence at 8pm sharp.

anyone can vote - even if you didnt submit anything. the more the merrier [sic]. everyone is allowed 5 entries. the top voted works will be published in the FALL 2009 issue of NOTA.
